| No. We do not do any snowmobiling because we do not have them. I think that the colony does not believe in them. If a machine does not have any use for work, the colony would not buy such a machine. Therefore, we do not have machines that are used for fun. We have only working machines. When one colony member needs a new truck, the whole colony takes a vote. We also don’t have any ‘four-wheelers’ or bicycles. If we get caught with a bicycle, one of the elders will cut it through in the middle with a cutting torch. This makes me mad a little bit. |

What kind of trucks do you drive in the winter instead of snowmobiles? We do not drive snowmobiles on our colony anywhere because we are not supposed to have them. Sometimes we get bored and we go and drive a tractor around where nobody can see us, such as in the garden. Our garden is surrounded with trees. We drive John Deere tractors and they never seem to fail. We also have an old Farmall tractor that we use in the garden. We also have two new Ford tractors that we bought new a couple of years ago. We store our Farmall 140 in a shack because we do not use it in the winter. We also have three 9600 John Deere combines. We only use them once a year to harvest the grain. We also have two John Deere 4450 and one John Deere 4640 tractors. |
